SUMIRE Hall

Used for fashion shows and special lectures. It is two stories high and can accommodate approximately 200 people. A stage is set up in front, complete with a computer-controlled stage light system linked to the sound. This allows for a wide variety of performances.

Uses production equipment used in actual sewing factories. You will learn about production specifications and procedures, as well as the relationship between production time, cost, and quality.

Dedicated pattern making and draping classroom. Equipped with enough space for work and a body for each person.

knit studio

Introduced Shima Seiki's WHOLEGARMENT computerized flat knitting machine (completely seamless) and compatible knit design system. Students will learn knit design on a computer screen, as well as production training using computers, such as fabric assembly and forming knitting. There are very few schools in Japan where you can create seamless knit items on campus.

CAD/CG room

Using Toray's apparel CAD system (Claire Compo II), you will learn processes such as pattern making and grading (size development). Furthermore, we have introduced 3D CAD (CLO), which achieves both realism and operability.

Mac room

81 Macs are installed on campus. Introducing Adobe Creative Cloud, you can use the latest Illustrator, Photoshop, as well as video and music editing. You can also use software for business use, so you can acquire a wide range of computer skills.

textile room

You can pick up and view samples of a wide variety of materials and fabrics.

Library/audio-visual room

Full of materials on domestic and international fashion, art, etc. Trend information and digital archives from the UK's WGSN have also been introduced, allowing users to view past and latest collection information and trend forecasts including color and textiles.

Lots of software

3D modelists are attracting a lot of attention as the next generation of creators.
Using specialized technology (ICT technology) within a PC, we create ``3DCG'' that is as good as the real thing.
We have also introduced the latest fabric scanner, NOCTAS, which can convert scanned data into basic fabric data using software operations.
It can be used for a variety of purposes, from simple to high-definition 3DCG.
OSAKA INSTITUTE OF FASHION has the hardware and software to create such high-precision 3DCG.

The nation's best shop classroom is born!

They are the ones who convey the appeal of stores and brands and create "fans." To train such fashion advisors, we have established a new, fully-fledged shop classroom equipped with everything from cash registers and fixtures, lighting, fitting rooms to back-of-store storage. The classroom was designed and planned by TSI, which hosts sales role-playing contests and is also committed to training the next generation. This is a practical shop classroom produced by a major apparel company with a "professional perspective."
