OSAKA INSTITUTE OF FASHION
“Entrepreneurial Development Program”

Students become brand owners themselves and produce their own personal brands.
This is an initiative to develop "strong individuals" by actually carrying out work from planning to production to promotion and sales and gaining practical experience. In 2022, nine brands created by nine students sold their products at online shops using BASE and POP-UP shops at Hanshin Department Store Umeda Main Store.

Each student, who is the brand owner, plans a brand with their passion, such as apparel, remade old clothes, bags, accessories, etc.

Leasing to talents and artists

OSAKA INSTITUTE OF FASHION operates "SPICE ROOM powered by OIF (hereinafter SPICE ROOM)" in cooperation with the alumni brand DOKKA vivid. SPICE ROOM is a "press room for stylists that brings together carefully selected brands from OIF students," and receives numerous offers from stylists looking for "innovative brands that have not yet been released to the world." This allows students to lease costumes to talents and artists while still in school.

Hybrid Collaboration

This is a collaboration project with Matsuo International's brand "Jiu", which is particular about Japanese products. It is a hybrid project that uses "master craftsmanship materials" made by local artisans for the fabric, and utilizes 3D modeling for the design and pattern creation. The collaborative products were sold at the lifestyle shop "about her."
