tanakadaisuke
designer/embroidery artist
Graduated from Fashion Creator in 2014
Graduated from Osaka Municipal Technical High School
I want to captivate viewers with my unique personality.
After graduating, I launched my own personal brand, ``tanakadaisuke,'' and I work as a fashion designer and embroidery artist, creating costumes for artists and commercials. The beauty of this job is that you can basically leave the ordering of costumes and items to me, so I can create everything to my satisfaction, from the materials to the design, sewing, and finishing. In 2022, we will be presenting our collection on the Tokyo Collection runway, and in an environment where we can deliver clothes to a variety of people, which we could not have done with our previous activities, we will be able to spread our stories from a small scope to a larger world. I feel a sense of fulfillment in what I do. It's a big burden because of the expectations, but it's a happy time.
We were invited to the fashion event "PTU Fashion Week" held in Seoul, Korea, where we held a special lecture by Daisuke Tanaka and our first exhibition in Korea.
At the talk show held as a special event for the Autumn Festival, he spoke about the appeal and expansion of fashion, and the rewards of working as a designer, based on his own experiences and perspectives.
He served as the head judge for the 12th annual "High School Student Design Drawing Contest." He judges the works based on his own knowledge and sensibilities, and is dedicated to producing the next generation of creators.

The ideal clothes are born through trial and error, not just design
I joined Adastria because I was attracted to the environment that values diversity. I am in charge of designing women's wear. The most difficult part is when an issue arises in the production process. At times like that, I remember the experience I had managing a group brand during my student days. I still use what I learned through hands-on experience from product planning to sales, and I feel rewarded when the intention of the design I tried and tested gets across to customers. In the future, my goal is to start my own brand and become a designer who travels the world.

Catching up with trends every day and striving for the ideal design
I joined the company because I like the worldview of "MAISON SPECIAL" and wanted to learn more about how clothes are made here. It's interesting to see how best-selling items change every season with just a little ingenuity or idea. I rack my brains every day trying to pick up on trends and incorporate them into my designs, but I feel like I've found the answer to my student days, when I was able to start a brand despite struggling with perseverance. When my own work sees the light of day, I feel an indescribable joy, and it was at that moment that I realized once again that I wanted to work in fashion.

"Around 120 items planned for the URBAN RESEARCH DOORS brand are displayed in store each year, with a focus on men's wear. The basic knowledge and experience I gained as a vocational school student come in handy when discussing materials, patterns, and with people in charge of sewing factories. As a designer, I am able to interact with a variety of people, and I feel myself growing every day. My goal is to start my own brand. It would be great to create a style using items from my brand and have it featured in a magazine.

I want to make exciting clothes
I joined World because I was impressed by their attitude of continuing to take on new challenges. After gaining experience in multiple business formats, I am currently working as a pattern maker at Idiom, a group company, where I propose products to meet the needs of clients. The products we handle have a wide range of concepts and price ranges. I feel rewarded by being able to help people feel excited when they wear their favorite clothes. Whatever the situation, the foundation is the skills and knowledge I developed as a student, and the ability to discover and solve problems. It is difficult, but I feel that I am growing every day.

I launched the brand "Juha" and am involved in both general creation and management. I feel that the meaning of my work is knowing that clothes that I put my own ideas and sensibilities into are able to provide value to customers in their daily lives. During my student days, I was in an environment where I could focus on clothing, and I consider the time I spent working hard with my peers to be the foundation of who I am today and an asset. Graduated from Hiroshima Prefectural Higashi High School
We want to enrich your lifestyle by providing items that fit into your daily life.
I manage the brand "FUJI" and oversee everything from creation to management. "I feel confident when I wear these clothes" is what one of my customers said to me, and I feel really rewarded when a product I made becomes part of someone's daily life. When I was a student, I learned to dig deep into the philosophy and stories behind a design, and I realized that this gives depth to ideas. This has become an important guideline for running the brand today. We are also preparing for an exhibition in Paris, and I would like to spread Japanese technology and materials beyond borders.

Pursuing unique knit art while being environmentally conscious
I launched "LOVE it ONCE MORE" and am producing knitted items based on environmentally friendly manufacturing using surplus yarn. Since I was a child, I have loved looking at knitted stitches. While I am able to work freely, I am always accompanied by responsibility and pressure. However, during my time as a student, I learned that "effort never betrays you." I had many opportunities to accumulate input under the guidance of caring teachers, turn it into a form, and output it, and I feel that I have grown in any way. My dream now is to spread knit art to the world.

Aiming to bring out the value of the brand and improve the status of salespeople
I joined United Arrows and am currently in charge of PR for three brands. I have always dreamed of being in a position where I can communicate the appeal of a brand. It is hard to plan photo shoots for multiple brands, but I feel a sense of accomplishment when everyone involved, from the photographer to the models, works together to create something. The knowledge of customer service and PR I acquired as a student is the foundation of my work, and I also make use of my experience participating in customer service contests. I would like to continue to convey the appeal of the sales staff working in the stores and provide excitement to customers.

Above all, I like people. I enjoy serving customers and training staff.
I've been a big fan of EVRIS since I was a student. I learned basic knowledge of materials and products, and customer service skills at a vocational school, and used that experience to get a job at my first choice company. In my third year, I was promoted to store manager. Now, as an area manager, I prioritize creating a store that satisfies customers, while also actively interacting with store members, identifying their individual personalities and developing their strengths. When I see my staff grow and advance in their careers, I feel even happier than I do for myself.

I want to take on the challenge of using my strengths to develop people
I work at the store as a DIESEL staff member, and am also involved in managing social media and VMD. Not only the customer service skills and internship experience I gained as a student, but the stimulation I received from being surrounded by stylish friends and teachers at a fashion school are undoubtedly useful in my current job. Of course, I enjoy sales, but in the future, I hope to utilize my natural communication and management skills to help train new employees and support store staff.

Graduated Stylist in 2017
Graduated from Kyoto Prefectural Kumiyama High School
The field experience I gained as a student has led me to who I am today
I studied under a stylist I met during my internship as a student, and then went independent. I am currently working as a freelancer. There are many difficult situations, such as transporting a huge amount of costumes and arranging them in a limited number of days. However, it is still deeply moving to see my styling being released into the world and seen by many people, and I would like to expand my field of activity. It is that internship I had back then that has influenced me today. I would like all of you who are planning to enroll to actively participate in the many job postings that come to the school and gain experience in a variety of fields!

Through the experience of starting up my own brand while I was still a student, I learned to never give up and to persevere, which I feel is now a strength of mine. There are still many clothes I want to make, so I would like to continue taking on challenges as a designer.

Graduated Super Designer in 2018
Graduated from Hagoromo Gakuen High School
We want to convey to many customers that "fashion is fun"
Currently working as a planning designer for "MAISON SPECIAL". I chose this path because I wanted to convey the idea that "fashion is fun" to many people. After an internship during my student days, I joined my previous company as a new graduate and spent five years learning the basics as a designer. I am currently working at a more creative manufacturer, where I work hard to create clothes while facing the balance between ideals and reality. I feel rewarded when someone wears a piece of clothing that I created through trial and error. In the future, I aim to be able to confidently call myself a "designer director" and someday I would like to create an environment where I can support young designers.
