The "SDGs action" that our school should take on is "education" itself. High-quality education fosters "creative human resources." Creative human resources create new value, create "authentic fashion" that will be loved for a long time, and "business models" that can realize a sustainable society. We believe that it is our school's social responsibility as an educational institution to constantly update this foundation of education.
In a world where DX is rapidly progressing and becoming increasingly borderless, our school needs to develop human resources who can think globally, utilize technology freely, and create new value. To achieve this, we are working on education with the priority themes of "global strategy" and "promotion of DX education."
Initiatives-
In order to cultivate the creative ability to create "real fashion" that will be loved for a long time with a global sense, our school has exchanges with fashion schools around the world, including Polimoda School in Italy, participates in international events, and has opportunities overseas. We are engaged in various initiatives such as exhibiting at contests. We are constantly searching for ways to provide education that fosters creative human resources who can compete internationally.
Initiatives-
In a society where DX is rapidly progressing, it is extremely effective to utilize technologies such as ICT to create and disseminate new value. At our school, we are establishing new specialized courses for the purpose of acquiring digital skills, offering special classes, and improving the educational environment so that students can freely utilize technology, create, and communicate.
From April 2021, we have formed an educational partnership with the fashion tech school "Tokyo Fashion Technology Lab (TFL)" and established a new specialized course to train "3D modelists," the first fashion school to do so.
Click here for 3D modelist course3D modeling is attracting attention as a technology that can significantly reduce the time and cost of the production process. Our school identified the need for 3D human resources and quickly established the first 3D modelist course in Japan. As a top runner in this field, we contribute to the industry's DX through collaboration and research presentations as well as education. In addition, seminars are held for all departments, creating an environment in which all students can learn 3D technology.
