This is a special course that will hone your free-thinking, unconstrained by preconceived notions, high-level pattern making and sewing techniques to realize those ideas.

Japan's top fashion contest. Of the 16 finalists, four were from our school, with Rensuke Iwano (3rd year) winning the grand prize.
This contest is held with the aim of cultivating talent to support the future textile and fashion industry. Misaki Shiragaki (3rd year) won the Nuiya Design Award.
A design contest to discover new creators who will pave the way for the future of hat culture. Momoka Shiroyama (3rd year) won the award.
This competition was established with the hope of nurturing the next generation of fashion designers. Misaki Shiragaki (3rd year) won the Hokkaido Governor's Award, Tomoka Kawaguchi (3rd year) won the Sapporo Mayor's Award, and three other students won prizes.
In an upcycling design contest sponsored by Book Off, which uses old clothes to promote further circulation of materials, Yuka Kayano (3rd year) won the judges' special award.
This is one of Japan's largest student contests, which aims to discover new possibilities for zippers, buckles, etc. From a total of 6,782 entries, Rensuke Iwano (3rd year) won the Grand Prize.
He has learned know-how on how to "gain high praise at shows" from Mr. Kojima, former editor-in-chief of Soen, which has led to good results in contests.

This is a special course where you can develop free ideas that are not bound by preconceived notions, as well as high-level patterns and sewing techniques to realize them. There are plenty of growth opportunities such as shows, exhibitions, and industry collaborations, and we aim to win in major contests. Upon graduation, students will present their own collection that expresses their worldview.

Main subjects
Students repeatedly experiment and research while planning an original brand, and learn creative design ideas aimed at high-level contests.
Based on the drawing techniques learned in the first year, students will receive thorough training in a variety of drawing techniques, mastering the skills to win contests.
