OIF student makes overseas collection debut! At GFWi, Super Designer are the best in the world!


At the "GRADUATE FASHION WEEK International (GFWi)" held in Mumbai, India in October, Miina Nakamoto Jahanara, a 4th year Super designer, won the "Youx Net-a-Porter Award" which is the grand prize!

In November, Miku Ueno, a fourth-year Super Designer, also participated in "Fashion Graduate Italia (FGI)" in Milan, Italy.

OIF students made a spectacular debut with an overseas collection!

The ``GFWi'' for which Ms. Nakamoto received the award is an extension of the international division of ``GRADUATE FASHION WEEK (GFW)'', one of the world's largest fashion events held in London.
While 19 students from leading schools around the world presented their collections, Ms. Nakamoto presented an upcycled collection based on traditional Japanese culture, using discarded kimonos for all looks.

"Fashion Graduate Italia (FGI)", in which Mr. Ueno participated, is a fashion show sponsored by the city of Milan where excellent works from Italian fashion schools are exhibited. , Ueno's collection was invited.

With the theme of "What if Marie Antoinette came to England in the 90's," they presented a unique collection that combines the elegance of Marie Antoinette with the casual, casual taste of British Britpop in the 90's.

In particular, GFWi is an extremely high-level fashion event where the world's top-ranked schools, mainly from Europe, participate.

This time, OIF students were the only Japanese students to advance to this stage.
