Midsummer festival SUMMER FESTA is held! In addition to shows and exhibitions, dance and shops will be a huge success this year!

OIF summer festival "SUMMER FESTA 2023" was held on July 22nd (Sat) and 23rd (Sun).
In addition to fashion shows and exhibitions, this year there will be a dance performance by the Shoin High School Dance Club, and a student shop will also be open with products directly imported from Dongdaemun Market in South Korea.SUMMER FESTA was even more crowded than usual.

◼︎Fashion show

At the fashion show held at SUMIRE Hall, a collaboration between the Shoin High School dance club and first-year students from Stylist served as the opening act, performing a cover dance of a popular K-POP group.

In the styling show, second-year students from Stylist presented styling inspired by the three themes of PROTOPIA, DYSTOPIA, and UTOPIA. They proposed total coordination of styling, from hair and makeup to accessories and model selection.

A fashion show performed by second-year students from Fashion Creator showcased works that made the most of the unique characteristics of each course.
Students in the apparel designer and knitwear courses will create original works with a "world" theme.
The 3D modeler course recreated a Vivienne Westwood collection. Along with their work, they presented 3DCG created using the apparel 3D app "CLO," demonstrating the technical skills they had acquired over the past three months.
In the Pattern Making Course and Haute Couture & Stage Costume Course, students will be able to fully utilize the pattern making and haute couture techniques they have acquired on a daily basis to recreate collections of world-famous brands such as Dior and TOMO KOIZUMI.

■Student shop

At B2U, a select shop where second-year students from Fashion Business are in charge of everything from planning to purchasing, the students themselves served and sold products that they imported directly from Dongdaemun Market in Korea.
In addition, third-year students from Brand Management gave presentations on their plans for "ISO," a long-term student-run shop that will open at HEP FIVE, as well as the business plans that each student produced.

■Work exhibition

In each classroom, works by each academic year were displayed, showing off the results of their daily learning.

■Student-sponsored events

And when it comes to summer festivals, what gets excited every year are the events sponsored by students.
There were many other fun booths such as a flea market and Struck Out, which are unique to fashion students, and the event was very popular as current students and the general public were able to interact with each other.

This year's event was held without any restrictions, so we were able to show off the results of our studies to a large number of people, making it a very stimulating and irreplaceable opportunity for the students.
